Rose is currently the Executive Director – CECORE, a position she has held since 2006. Shhas a rich experience of over 17 years in the area of peace building and Conflict Resolution. She is one of the authors of the International Resource Pack on “Conflict Sensitive Approaches to Development, Peace-building and Humanitarian Assistance (CSA). She has conducted several consultancies and trainings at national, regional and International level. She is one of the members of the Uganda Women’s Coalition for Peace who participated in engendering thJuba Peace Talks in 2008.
Rose has a rich experience in Banking and Financial Management in which she worked for over 10 years. She has participated in the formulation of National and Regional Instruments on Conflict Early Warning, Small Arms and Light Weapons etc. She has been a board member of organizations like Human Rights Network, Uganda Action for Small Arms; where she played key advisory roles; she also served as an expert in the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region, in the thematic areas of Peace and Security and Social and Humanitarian Affairs. Rose is the Gender Liaison for the Global Partnership for Prevention of Armed Conflict Mediation Working Group.
Currently Rose participated in mediating complaints arising from effects of the Bujagali hydroelectric dam construction on the River Nile in Uganda that is partly funded by the International Finance Corporation.
