For more than two decades CECORE has implemented projects that prevent, manage and transform conflict across Uganda and the Eastern & Central Africa region. Empowering communities to prevent, resolve and transform conflict
A multi-phase programme that trained former combatants and at-risk youth as “Peace Champions”, combining conflict-transformation training with “connectors for peace” (livelihoods, trauma-healing, GBV awareness and market linkages). The project reduced youth re-radicalisation risks and created community-level peace actors.

Peace Education Programme (various years)
School-based peace education that equips children and youth with conflict-transformation skills, non-violent practice and life skills. CECORE worked with teachers, police and community leaders to mainstream peace education in schools.
Theme: Peace Education, Young People, Schools Donor / Partners: Local partners and police Family & Child Protection Unit (collaborative). Locations: Kampala (Kawempe Division) and other districts.
Empowered women from affected communities to participate meaningfully in peace processes, including economic support (equipment handovers), capacity building and community dialogues.
Conflict Sensitivity in Land Governance (2015–2016)
Integrated conflict-sensitive approaches in land governance to reduce land-related tensions, working with formal and informal governance actors and local communities.
