CECORE’s impact is driven by a committed board, skilled management and field teams working across Uganda and the Eastern & Central Africa network. Explore the people, structures and governance that ensure transparency, effectiveness and local ownership of peacebuilding initiatives.
CECORE combines strong local presence with rigorous governance to deliver sustainable peacebuilding at community, national and regional levels. Our multi-tier governance model balances strategic oversight by the Board of Directors with professional management, robust financial controls and participatory programme implementation. This ensures that our work is ethical, evidence-based and responsive to the communities we serve.

Programme Teams & Field Staff: Design and implement projects, engage local stakeholders and ensure that interventions are context-sensitive and conflict-responsive.
Advisors & Partners: Technical advisors, consultants and regional networks (including GPPAC-ECA) provide specialised support and knowledge exchange.
Transparency: Regular financial and programme reporting; accessible policy documents and public accountability to stakeholders.
Integrity: Strict codes of conduct and anti-corruption measures guide staff and leadership behaviour.
Inclusion: Gender-responsive, youth-sensitive and community-centred decision making.
Quality & Learning: Systematic monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) inform program design and strengthen impact.
CECORE maintains auditable financial systems, external audits, and donor-compliant reporting. We welcome oversight, feedback and independent review to strengthen performance and ensure fiduciary responsibility.
We have contacts in many of the communities around the country, through persons we have interacted with in one way or the other.
Community members can also contact us in case of a need for our services especially in peacebuilding, conflict resolution or conflict sensitive planning.
Over the years, CECORE has received and worked with volunteers and interns from both within the country and globally; coming either as part of an academic requirement, or to gain practical experience in our area of work. The duration at CECORE would depend on both the availability of opportunities as well as space.
The volunteers cater for their needs but the organisation may offer to arrange for their safe accommodation. When based in the office, the office facilities are at their disposal.
We invite media personnel and houses to partner with us to contribute to a peaceful society. We can support training in ethical as well as peace reporting.
The media is a vital partner when it comes to advocacy on issues of peace and development as it is from a peaceful society that comes development.
